“Be different, be better.” For more than 150 years, this simple idea has shaped the way Baxters approaches food, innovation and the way the business grows.

Founded in 1868 in the village of Fochabers, Scotland, Baxters has grown from a small family grocery shop into an internationally recognised food brand. Its soups, preserves and pantry staples are now enjoyed by households across the UK and around the world.

Across four generations of family ownership, the company has remained committed to doing things its own way. By combining heritage recipes with new ideas and a constant drive to improve, Baxters continues to create food that reflects both tradition and innovation, while staying true to the ethos that has guided the business from the very beginning.
