Denholm Associates

Associate Director

Job Ref: 10961

The opportunity you've been waiting for

Progressive Partnership has built something that lasts. Forty years in market and social research is a track record earned through quality, a client base that trusts them, and a team that knows its craft. They are now looking for an Associate Director to take a senior role in keeping that standard high and helping the business grow.

This is a role with real breadth. You will lead projects end-to-end, develop client relationships, support a team, and contribute to new business. Based from either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office on a hybrid basis, it suits someone ready to step up and take ownership.

How you'll make your mark

  • Lead and deliver research projects from brief to final presentation, across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Produce survey materials to a consistently high standard, including proposals, topic guides, questionnaires, reports, and presentations
  • Analyse and interpret data to generate insights and recommendations that add genuine value for clients
  • Manage and develop junior team members, supporting workload management, motivation, and personal growth
  • Take ownership of ongoing client relationships and key accounts, maximising opportunities with existing clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including writing and presenting winning proposals
  • Keep pace with industry trends and best practice to continually strengthen the agency's offering

What's in it for you

  • £38,000 – £45,000
  • Hybrid working from Edinburgh or Glasgow (3 days on-site)
  • 33 days holiday, rising with service, plus your birthday off and Christmas closure
  • Strong professional development and genuine career progression
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture with team events including summer and Christmas gatherings

A bit more about Progressive Partnership

Progressive Partnership has been delivering market and social research for clients across the public and private sectors for four decades. With offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, they work across a varied and high-profile client base. They have stayed relevant by investing in their people and their methods, and they are not standing still now.

Denholm's take

What stands out here is the quality of the work and the stability of the business. Four decades in research is a track record that speaks for itself, and the variety of clients means no two projects look the same.

For a researcher ready to move into a genuinely senior role with client ownership, team responsibility, and a hand in new business, this is a well-rounded opportunity with a team that knows how to develop people.
